[01:12] Talk about your first impression of ALTEN.

"ALTEN" gives me a sense of youthful energy and vitality, suggesting that it"s a company full of talented professionals. I looked up the company online and discovered that it’s a French foreign-invested enterprise. Foreign companies often have a more people-oriented management style, which makes me even more excited about the prospect of working at ALTEN.

[01:48]  Have your previous expectations of the company been met since working here?

After starting at ALTEN, I found it to be a typical foreign company with a management style that is both disciplined and personable. The flexible working hours offer a good work-life balance, which is a great advantage. Additionally, the clear division of responsibilities and reporting lines help me quickly get up to speed on projects and gradually settle into my role.

[02:32] Please share your own moment from this work.

As I’ve gained more skills and industry experience, I’ve simplified many of the complex tasks I used to handle, deepened my understanding of architecture, and made my code more streamlined and efficient. Sometimes, using script tools has greatly boosted my productivity and solved many tricky functionality issues. This sense of accomplishment is incredibly rewarding.

[04:34] What characteristics do you think can help one thrive in this field?

Currently, I am a "frontline coder," working within the framework designed by existing architects. In the future, I aspire to lead and design functional modules and oversee how projects operate, eventually becoming a software architect. The mindset of an architect differs significantly from that of a typical programmer. While programmers usually focus on solving specific problems, architects need to approach things from a broader perspective, considering system scalability, performance optimization, and other dimensions. To make this transition, I need to gain more project experience and think more comprehensively and meticulously. Once I can quickly conceptualize the necessary modules for a new feature request in my mind, I’ll be close to being ready for this role!
