At ALTEN, CSR is a long-term commitment embedded in our DNA. As a participant of the United Nations Global Compact, we focus on three core pillars: Human, Environment and Sustainable Innovation. By combining engineering expertise with purposeful action, we strive to create lasting value for society.

This spring, ALTEN China launched two impactful initiatives that reflect both purpose and proximity — one extending support to underserved regions, the other strengthening local communities. Together, they demonstrate how small, tangible actions can translate into meaningful change.

Extending Reach: Empowering Education Through Action

A book can inspire a dream; a simple resource can shape a future. ALTEN China remains committed to supporting rural education, recognizing it as a key driver in breaking barriers and unlocking opportunity.

Through an employee-led donation initiative, we collected educational supplies, books, and learning toys to support children in rural areas. All items were distributed via the HuoChai Box Charity Platform, reaching 12 primary schools across six provinces—Henan, Jilin, Hunan, Gansu, Shandong, and Heilongjiang.

By directly addressing essential needs in learning, reading and play, each contribution delivers practical value where it matters most. More importantly, this initiative reflects a structured and sustainable approach to philanthropy — connecting corporate resources with real societal needs in aprecise and impactful way, while continuously supporting the development of rural education.

Strengthening Communities: Turning Collective Goodwill into Impact

During the 32nd “Love Under the Blue Sky” charity campaign in Shanghai, ALTEN China took the lead with an initial donation of RMB 6,800, setting the foundation for broader participation. The company also formed an internal volunteer team, encouraging employees to get involved and contribute.

The response was immediate and enthusiastic. Collective efforts brought the total donation to RMB 9,905.99. All funds were contributed to the Shanghai Charity Foundation and allocated to key community programs, including social assistance, volunteer services, public welfare initiatives, and neighborhood support. These efforts directly benefit vulnerable groups such as elderly individuals living alone, children in need, people with disabilities, and families facing unexpected hardship.

Each contribution reflects the genuine goodwill of ALTENers and reinforces ALTEN’s people-focused values, extending the reach of community support and delivering meaningful impact to those who need it most.
