By chance, I received a call from the HR department of ALTEN, and I learned that they could offer me a broader platform and more opportunities. Additionally, I"m satisfied with both the working hours and salary.

[01:00] my daily work routine

My role involves conducting feasibility analysis for early-stage automotive product development. More colloquially, I analyze and inspect the data provided by product development engineers, with a focus on assessing the feasibility of body structure welding processes and determining whether the product can be manufactured. Apart from this, I need to identify risks in the production manufacturing process, collaborate across departments and ultimately develop a comprehensive product improvement plan.

[02:37] the biggest challenge in my job 

Currently, there are 2 challenges for me. 1. Language: the job requires me to interact with many international colleagues, which enhances my logical thinking and improve my verbal skill. 2. Collaborative spirit: not only should I provide advices from the standpoint of product analysis expertise but also take the opinions and requirements of other departments into consideration.

[04:22] the advice for newcomers

In this industry, the accumulation of rich experience is essential. Seasoned engineers thrive by immersing themselves in projects, as the requirements and production processes vary across automotive companies, with each vehicle model having its unique parameters. For newcomers, it"s crucial not to rush into chasing achievements and senior titles. Rather, it"s paramount to cultivate a mindset of deep project engagement, experience accumulation, and readiness for the industry"s fast-evolving knowledge landscape. Embracing novelty rather than resisting it is key.

[07:29] If given another chance, would you choose your current job

Definitely. I quite like my current job. Although I haven"t been in the industry for a particularly long time, but seeing the successful delivery of the projects I"ve been involved in is very fulfilling. The valuable experience accumulated at ALTEN has also benefited me a lot.
