Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the design and R&D of new products. According to the project development plan, conduct mechanical design and R&D for escalator and moving walk products, including design of various components, preparation of calculation sheets, relevant technical documents, testing, trial production, supporting production launch, assisting installation and commissioning, and improving technical issues during operation;

2. Responsible for drawing creation and preparation of technical documents such as BOM, ensuring the accuracy of drawings and documents, meeting project schedule requirements, complying with relevant national standards and OTIS internal standards;

3. Collect and analyze customer feedback, conduct root cause analysis for design issues, propose solutions, verify solutions through design validation, and revise drawings, documents, lists and design guidelines according to procedures;

4. Provide technical support to branches, workshops and on-site installation teams, and assist in handling emergency technical issues;

5. Responsible for improvement design of existing products.

Job Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Design or related major;

2. At least 3 years of working experience in mechanical design and R&D; experience in escalator/elevator industry or automotive industry; experience in foreign-invested enterprises; experience in system design; background in smart manufacturing is preferred;

3. Proficient in mechanical drawing, strength calculation, mechanical analysis; familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus;

4. Able to design experiments and verify product performance;

5. Proficient in office software and mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Creo, Pro/E;

6. Familiar with development process and project management; good requirement analysis, document writing, communication, customer service and presentation skills;

7. Strong technical problem-solving skills; able to use problem-solving tools such as RRCA/8D/DAMIC for analysis;

8. CET-6 or above; good command of written and spoken English.
