Job Responsibilities

1. Provide procurement support for automotive component categories, align with the procurement requirements of business departments, complete component cost calculation and supplier cost analysis during the quotation phase, and provide data support for price negotiations. A solid understanding of component processing technologies and equipment costs is required.

2. Conduct cost and price analysis of localized components and software for the China Direct Procurement Department (MC-x).

3. Provide cost analysis and negotiation support for the BBT-M-x Indirect Procurement Department in the areas of logistics, marketing, sales, plant operations, and customer service.

4. Assist gAMS in providing support to the MC-x and BBT-M-x departments.

5. Leverage CE expertise to provide recommendations to the procurement department and colleagues, while undertaking cost calculation and concept optimization tasks.

6. Collaborate with the MZ-3 Department to conduct technical and market research (including master data) as well as vehicle benchmarking tests.

7. Act as the interface between the China Procurement Department and the MZ-3 professional department, and be responsible for design-related consulting and negotiation work.

8. Coordinate and maintain collaborative relationships within the BMW cooperation network.

Job Requirements

1. Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Economics and Engineering, or an equivalent major.

2. Several years of relevant work experience in automotive industry functions such as production, engineering, procurement, or quality management.

3. Interest in data analysis, strong analytical thinking skills, ability to communicate smoothly in a multicultural work environment, and confident and appropriate demeanor.

4. Ability to host seminars and deliver presentations to target groups.

5. Strong sense of responsibility and motivation to take the initiative in fulfilling personal duties.

6. Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken).
