Job Description
Ensure continuous material supply to support production and sales. Strive to resolve material-related issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics. Balance delivery and inventory objectives, meeting delivery requirements while achieving inventory targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take full responsibility for material ordering, supply, and scheduling to achieve inventory targets.
- Manage new product introduction / end-of-life phase-out (NPI/EOL transition) to minimize material scrap.
- Reschedule material plans based on demand changes (e.g., expediting or deferring for inventory control).
- Provide early warning of shortage risks at least two weeks in advance.
- Conduct root cause investigation and resolution for daily material shortages.
- Monitor material receiving and internal usage, investigate and resolve material issues.
- Support material transfers and conduct supplier reviews jointly with the purchasing department.
- Work closely with suppliers, focusing on: packaging requirements, min/max planning, product change notifications involving new and old components, material replenishment plans, and root cause problem solving.
- Provide supply analysis data and improvement suggestions as needed.
- Assist with cycle counting activities.
- Experience with SAP/Oracle systems. Lead inventory reduction projects to improve inventory turnover.
- Order materials and develop plans for field modification instructions as needed.
- Develop the master production schedule based on sales orders and market forecasts, and guide detailed scheduling, taking into account the production team"s capacity.
- Coordinate with the production line and operational demand departments to determine weekly/monthly/quarterly production plans.
- Responsible for responding to customer service department inquiries on delivery dates, and drive the plan-to-delivery process through weekly meetings.
- Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and continuous advancement of localization/continuous improvement/material optimization projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor"s degree; or high school diploma with 3 years of material management or

Proficient in computer use, skilled in Oracle and office software.

Good English communication skills.

Data analysis skills.
Preferred qualifications:
-
APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
